2010 is already shaping up to be a big year for Vampire Weekend. After their debut album was met with heaps of love just two years ago, the New York rockers are finally ready to release their second LP, Contra, which is set to drop on January 12. Already backed by the excellent single “Cousins,” the band is now announcing plans to tour the US and Europe to support the new album. Ezra Koenig and Co. will start with a couple of shows in New York before heading out to the UK and eventually hitting up the rest of Western Europe. The second leg of the tour will take the band back to the U.S. of A. before they close up shop towards late April. Along the way they’ll share the stage with Very Be Careful, Titus Andronicus, Holly Miranda and Nat Baldwin (of Dirty Projectors fame). Tour dates after the jump!
