Each year as winter inevitably wears out it's welcome, there comes a natural resurgence in pop music. There's something about the upbeat nature of it, the positive outlook on life and love -- In other words, music perfectly suited for the new promise of spring and the adventures of a soon-to-come summer. As the season continues it's change and you find yourself reaching out for warmer music this year, make sure you keep the name Kisses in mind.

Kisses is the disco pop project of Jesse Kivel and Zinzi Edmundson. The brand-new LA-based duo are poised to hit it big this summer with the release of their debut, The Heart of the Nightlife, the first single of which will be released on April 27th on Surround Sound (Though you can hear it now below!). Packed with bubbly optimistic love songs (with Jens Lekman-esque strong tenor vocals) backed by smooth synth beats and echoey percussion, The Heart of the Nightlife soundtracks the universal romance of the summer nightlife.

Give it a spin and you're likely to see it finding a place in the heavy rotation of your nightlife this summer too.
