Get your reading glasses on, my fellow moody, politically-disturbed young misanthropes; you are going to want to read this.

If you had by any chance tired of the original audio/visual configuration of Thom Yorke's paranoid angst, you are about to get another one free. The Radiohead frontman's recently formed backing band, initially assembled to tour material from The Eraser, now has an official title and an official tour. Album? Nothing on that yet, but we have our suspicions.

And the title of this supergroup-esque configuration featuring Yorke, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Joey Waronker from R.E.M. and percussionist Mauro Refosco?

Atoms For Peace.

But...you named a song that already. We'd have preferred Pulled Apart By Horses Band. Or even just Eraser Band.

Atoms For Peace will be hitting the road in April for a North American tour that will see the group travel from NYC to Indio, CA for their gig at Coachella, with a few shows planned between. And guess what? Glitch-hop mastermind Flying Lotus will be hitching a ride with them to Coachella, and opening for each Atoms For Peace gig leading up to the festival.

Meanwhile, elsewhere - four well-spoken, middle-aged Oxford men will be drinking tea and farting around.
