In anticipation of their upcoming debut album, Astro Coast, West Palm Beach, Florida based beach-pop rockers Surfer Blood are set to embark on an extensive tour of both the United States and the UK beginning in mid-January. Opening duties are being provided along the way by The Drums, Monotonix, Turbo Fruits, Small Black and Holiday Shores. The tour kicks off January 13th at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City and wraps up with a four day romp at SXSW. Check after the jump for more details.

Surfer Blood will be touring in promotion of their debut album, Astro Coast, which drops January 19th via Kanine Records. The album was recorded in a college dorm room with scholarship money, and the original studio recordings were dropped because the group were reportedly dissatisfied with the sound the engineer was giving the band in the studio. Be on the lookout for the disc when it hits, and be sure to mark your calendars accordingly and rid yourselves some of those winter blues when Surfer Blood brings their summery sound to a city near you.
