For the first time in roughly half a decade, Norwegian electro-pop duo Royksopp will be playing a handful of American shows. Specifically, they'll be playing only four gigs, which is probably due to the fact that Svein Berge and Torbjorn Brundtland's delicate Norse constitutions cannot handle the harsh American climate, rife as it is with Big Macs and shitty beer. Royksopp will be touring in support of their latest effort, Junior. A companion record, Senior, purportedly a mellow foil to the energetic Junior is slated for a release in late 2009, and we're assuming that the electro duo will be treating concert goers to a preview of the upcoming material at these North American dates. No word as to opening acts as of now, but Anneli Drecker of Bel Canto fame will be tagging along to sing the lady parts on various songs. Check out the dates after the jump. Because we like you guys, we'll even include the non-American dates, in case you happen to be in Seoul or Stradbally.
