In the modern world of music it is not unheard of for our favorite bands to wait up to four or five years between album releases. However, if your cd player is constantly rotating albums by Portugal. The Man, then you may find it difficult just to keep up. The work rate the band prides themselves on is part of the charm they exude. With four LP's and an acoustic accompaniment album released in just four years, you wonder how the Portland based quartet find the time or the energy for that matter. And so with another year beginning, LP number five, Ghetto America, is set to be released for download March 2nd.

According to updates on the band's official website, physical copies will be available no sooner than May 11th, and they are deciding to things a little "backwards" as far as formats are concerned. The CD will be limited edition, whereas the vinyl and digital releases will be unlimited. Good news for all you wax junkies out there.

The band have not yet disclosed how many copies of the CD release will be available, so we will keep you posted on the matter. In the meantime, premiere single from the album, "The Dead Dog," is available down below, as well as upcoming tour dates.
