Whether you're a fan of his music with the prog-rock group Genesis, his successful solo albums, or his various humanitarian efforts around the world, chances are you do or soon will like one aspect of the multi-talented Peter Gabriel. After founding Geneis in the late 60's and then playing with the group for fifteen years, Gabriel abruptly retired from Genesis in 1975 to pursue a solo career, raise a family, and continue helping his fellow man through a variety of charities and non-profit organizations. However, now approaching the 50th anniversity of Genesis' formation and with it, Gabriel's first musical works, the man is back to release a sort of "covers album." What is this tomfoolery, you ask? Well, the tracklist, as well as more detailed information, follow after the jump.

Peter Gabriel recently announced that he will be releasing a 12-track album on January 25th, and that it will be the very first in a number of planned releases much like it. To all those Genesis and Gabriel die-hard fans, I'm sorry to disappoint. This will not be anything like Gabriel's previous work. Instead, he's taking a new approach, and covering other artists songs, "reinterpretting" them all together. Bands he will be covering consist of Radiohead, Arcade Fire, David Bowie, Neil Young, Bon Iver, and many more. The full tracklisting for the album, Scratch My Back, lies below.

01. Heroes (David Bowie)
