Who needs a backyard barbecue with the family when New York City has the aptly-titled Electric Zoo? For electronic music fans living anywhere on the Eastern end of the States (or further away, depending on your dedication), there's no better place to be this labor day weekend than at Randall Island's premier music festival. Modeled after Europe's famous electronic festivals (we're looking at you Creamfields, Oxygen, and I Love Techno), Electric Zoo brings the insane, open-air mega dance party festival concept to the US. This year's lineup reads like the who's who list of today's electronic scene, featuring the explosive talents of A-Trak, Boys Noize, Diplo, Erol Alkan, Flying Lotus, and Steve Aoki (just to name a few). Read on for the full lineup, complete with Inyourspeakers' recommendations and a ten-track preview of what to expect from the two day rager.

Sans a few notable acts (Crookers, Eskmo, Justice, Mr. Oizo and The Bloody Beetroots come to mind), the 2010 iteration of Electric Zoo paints a nearly complete picture of the contemporary electro landscape. Not only that, but the festival is hosted in the very center of one of the hardest-partying cities in the United States. So, as we alluded to above, Aunt Florence's Lasagna and Uncle Frank's "famous" burgers just aren't going to cut it this Labor Day Weekend (plus, let's face it, there won't be any more three-day weekends for the rest of the year).

Now we know you've been partying hard all summer long, and that your pockets might be a little light by this poin. So, for those of you not willing to cop $157 for the two-day ticket (which is certainly worth the price), we recommend buying a one day pass to see Saturday's incredible lineup.

Still not entirely convinced? Then check out the full roster below and give our preview playlist a spin.
