Tricky's latest LP, titled Mixed Race, will be hitting shelves on September 27th, and to celebrate the countdown, we have the promo video for the premiere single, "Murder Weapon", due out on August 30th. The album will be the follow-up to 2008's spectacular release, Knowles West Boy. It is set to feature an array of guests, including Bobby Gillespie (Primal Scream), Tricky's younger brother Marlon Thaws, and Frank Riley. Check out the video after the jump.

The short features a rather shredded Tricky, holding his own during a workout at a Paris boxing club. The musical backdrop balances Tricky's usual dark moodscapes with some uplifting melodies and militant beats, and features a scarily recognizable guitar riff. We are not too sure if this is an intended sample or if Tricky has just been a cheeky little guy, so we will let you figure it out for yourself and not name any names.
