Kathryn has already laid the groundwork for a flourishing career by providing beautiful vocals and keyboard skills for the New Pornographers. However, it seems as though there is simply too much songwriting to channel through just a few bands. Are You My Mother? is Kathryn's 2010 solo record, and so far, it has been collecting nothing but praise from fans and critics alike. Check out the video for "Slip Away" after the jump!

The short was directed by Dean Tzenos, and features a bright and colorful display of cuddly toys and handmade landscapes. The single flows much the same as the rest of the fantastic album, with Kathryn's sweet vocals floating in between pretty structures of keys and percussion.
