In today's version of Video Roundup, we give you Inlets. Yeah, we know, another Brooklyn indie band? But we promise, this group is really worth the listen (or viewing, as it were). Check out the video for "In Which I, Robert" after the jump, and catch a few Inlets tracks that we've shared with you while you're at it.

If you're unfamiliar with Inlets, please do yourself the service of getting to know the indie rock group. Headed by My Brightest Diamond's Sebastian Krueger, Inlets have stepped out from under the clutch of the indie unknown realm and into the light. Today, we bring you "In Which I, Robert", a track which will prove Inlets' credibility.

"In Which I, Robert" is probably the shortest track off of Inlets' most recent record, Inter Arbiter, which dropped back in April. It's also probably one of the most different on the album; with a lonesome drumbeat, some electronic influence, and a hefty amount of dark piano and wind instruments peppered in here and there, you might actually glaze over the rhythmic pop that appears here and there throughout the song. Given his guitar and clarinet influence in My Brightest Diamond, Krueger makes it a point to really shine with his true talent on this track. The allure of the clarinet against his voice toward the last minute of the track is undeniable, and allows for an entirely different Inlets to channel through.

To classify this Inlets track as "folk rock" is a bit of a stretch. But, given how Krueger somehow makes the opening lyrics "I can smell your underbelly, softened and sweet" sound magical, we hesitate to doubt Inlets' potential. If Krueger can make those lyrics sound sultry yet meaningful, we're pretty sure he could make a trombone or tambourine sound glamorous...in one way or another.

Catch some more Inlets tracks down below, and be sure to check out their most recent record, Inter Arbiter, which is available through iTunes and Insound.
