The boundaries of folk have always been tested and never more so than by experimental duo The Books who plan to release their latest LP, The Way Out, in July. With every album this group has released, further insight is delivered into the strange and wonderful imaginations of the cello/guitar partnership, and we can't wait to hear what this latest album will have to offer. To get us started, the duo have released a new single entitled, "A Cold Freezing Night," which will feature on the anticipated release. Check out the video after the jump.

This single showcases The Books at their most frantic. Brilliant samples, frenetic percussions and shimmers of processed string instruments make up a track that beckons belief. It's only right then that the video should be just as odd and brilliant. Eighties tinted home movies, cheesy effects and lot's of scrappy text litter the short to create an experience that is all together weird and wonderful. Keep your eyes firmly locked on our review section for a comprehensive disembowelment of the new release.
