August was a pretty good month for MillionYoung's ego. The Fader, The Guardian and Stereogum all stroked it quite nicely, complimenting Mike Diaz's deft way with a synth and a drumpad. Now, the one-man electro/surf pop band is setting his sights on a small, six-date tour in October.
In late 2009, MillionYoung self-released the Sunndreamm EP, for the low and very awesome price of completely gratis. You can download the EP here. After Knoxville-based label Arcade Sound Ltd. found it, Diaz then found himself with a record deal. This year saw the release of a second EP, Be So True, which garnered much critical acclaim.
MillionYoung is planning for a more full U.S. tour, as well as several dates at New York's CMJ Festival, and a full-length in January. For now, kiddos, feast your eyes on these tour dates and await further instructions!
