It’s been a while since we’ve reported anything on Lil Wayne, and it’s about time considering his fans haven’t heard from him since his Twitter post last month when he was jailed for attempted weapon possession in Ryker Island. Wayne has now set up his own website, , where he blogs about his time in jail, uploads new music, and responds to letters from loyal fans. He explained to Karen Civil that the purpose behind the site is to serve as a gate way to free the world. “I wanted to do something for my fans, so they know I am still with them and that I love them very much,” Lil Wayne states.

The rapper’s website features a countdown until his release date – which is currently 212 days, and counting…literally – and his current address as he encourages his fans to unload “the weight of [their] world” on his shoulders.

Here is a snippet from his first post, Letter #01: Gone til November:

“Love. Live. Life. Proceed. Progress. That’s who I am and who I’ll always be. You see, we’re all living on borrowed time, so I’m not worried about this situation. Life happens quick. The more time you spend contemplating what you should have done…you lose valuable time planning what you can and will do. Trying to tear down the past prohibits you from building up your future. So for my time here, my physical will be confined to the yard. My love and my spirit, however, know no boundaries.”

He has also resumed his post writing for ESPN.com. His first piece detailing his thoughts on the NCAA Final Four is scheduling to be released next week. Who would have thought that hungry and concerned fans are now able to make more personal contact with Lil Wayne than they ever were before?
