Future Of The Left bassist, Kelson Mathias, has announced his departure from the band. The 4AD signed group have been releasing statements and details through their Myspace page, and have reported regret and relief at the news of their friends departure from the group. More details after the jump.

The remaining members from the group: vocalist/guitarist, Andy Falkous and drummer, Jack Egglestone, have announced that the band is very much still together, and for upcoming shows, Oceansize member, Steven Hodson, will be filling the boots of Kelson until a permanent replacement can be found. To reiterate the band's security, the remaining duo have annunced that they are in the middle of recording their third album and songs have already been demoed. The meloncholy, "Assisted Suicide Blues," "Forest Is Sorry" and "The Goose That Roared," have all been name checked.

A full list of tour dates are also set to follow, presumably after the replacement for Kelson has been confirmed. Stay tuned for details.
