Finch is no more. Again.

The Hot Topic-mall rock-post-hardcore group known as Finch is no stranger to break-ups, having gone on hiatus back in 2006, only to "reform" a year later. This time, the break-up might actually stick. The announcement on the band's official site reads as follows:

"As we get older and broaden our musical pallets[sic: palate, unless the band plans on stocking CDs on wooden skids] we are all on separate planets drifting further and further out of orbit. Finch is our sun, it has given us everything that we have. This year our sun imploded. Although we travel through darkness. It's comforting to know that we are all still friends. Together floating in the unknown."

That's deep. Godspeed, Finch.

The band was in the middle of recording their third studio album, the first major release since their self-titled EP in 2008. The last full-length was five years ago, though the band released a live record last year. The last two Finch songs for the time beingEVER are available here for two bucks.
