How many roads must a man walk down? What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything? We at IYS aren't sure. We are sure, however, that you're going to like today's Daily Dose of New Music.

The National - You Were a Kindness

How can we be so sure, you ask? The answer is simple: A new track from The National. After blowing us away (yet again) with their fifth studio album, High Violet, just a few months ago, The National deserve to take some time off, or at least they deserve a greatest hits or live album victory lap, but rather than that, they're back with a brand new track. The gods must be smiling.

Yeasayer - O.N.E. (Teen Daze Remix)

What group of five sweet new tracks would be complete without at least two from Brooklyn bands? Besides The National's new track, we've also got a sweet remix of Brooklyn favorites Yeasayer's O.N.E. This song has been going the rounds getting the remix treatment from everyone lately, but this time by Teen Daze, one of the better remix artists out there.

Everything Everything - MY KZ, YR BF (Memory Tapes Remix)

Next up, we've got a Memory Tapes remix of UK band Everything Everything's "MY KZ, YR BF". Once Memory Cassette, then Weird Tapes, and now, finally, Memory Tapes, the one-man act is definitively chillwave, and he has applied the same lo-fi, scuzzy drone-looping to the remix game, remixing bands like Tanlines, Midnight Juggernauts, Crystal Castles, and supposedly even Michael Jackson.

The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger - Jardin du Luxembourg

We've also got a brand new track from The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, the musical project of Sean Lennon (I think his dad was a member of the Big Bad Beetleborgs, if I remember correctly), and model/actress Charlotte Kemp Muhl. The couple is set to release their debut album, Acoustic Sessions, in October, and this is the first chance we've had to get a taste of what's to come.

Booka Shade - Teenage Spaceman (Booka In Space Mix)

Last of all, we've got a track from Booka Shade to share with you. This german duo has been blowing up shows and festivals all summer long in support of their latest effort, More!. Today, you could say we're getting more from More!, as the album standout "Teenage Spaceman" got a reworking from the band. The house maestros also recently held a fan-generated video contest for the song on Genero.tv, and you can check out all the entries and the chosen winners here.
