You wake up to Broken Social Scene’s “Looks Just Like the Sun,” grab your laptop or iPhone to check out your homepage for any BSS news and pre-order the new album only to find that you will be receiving a 10-track EP along with Forgiveness Rock Record. After realizing the warm fuzzy feeling you experienced was you peeing your pants with joy, you scrounge around for a change of clothes. It’s laundry day. You wash your clothes in the shower and borrow a hairdryer. You use the hairdryer on your clothes so the 50-minute clothes dryer doesn’t make you late for work. At the last minute, you realize you don’t have time to dry your pants and you leave the house with puddles starting to form in your shoes. As you cross the street, the extra weight of the water causes your pants to slide down. You stop in the middle of the street to avoid getting arrested for indecent exposure and get hit by a car. Now you’re dead. To avoid this from happening to you, read after the jump.
We don’t want to catch you off-guard, so prepare yourselves. Broken Social Scene’s album Forgiveness Rock Record, which is due out on May 3rd, now includes an EP entitled Lo-Fi For The Dividing Nights. You can’t get it just anywhere but there are a few options. With a pre-order at available here, with purchase of the CD or vinyl version in some US independent record stores, or in Canadian HMV stores you’ll receive the EP which was recorded alongside the album. Check out the tracklistings below and a performance of "World Sick."
