Jogger are a two piece band consisting of multi-instrumentalists Amir Yaghmai and Jonathan Larroquette from Los Angeles, California. Jogger you see, are very very difficult to explain but incredibly worth the attempt.

The duo swerves from the cold, soulless electronics of a DJ, to the warm, analog vibes of a live band in what can seem like the link of an eye. They manage to be experimental, while also accessible. There is an old-timey soul to the music but also this air hyper-newness.. Jogger's music is a series of moments that feels akin to life; you never know what's coming even when you try your hardest to anticipate it.

While "Nephicide," (which is perhaps the duo's most well-known track) isn't exactly new at this point, the fantastic, just-released video for the song has begun to make its rounds. Somehow, the band managed to combine chip-tune-esque electronics and death metal vocals with a midsection that is so close to 70's soul that had me thinking I actually hit the shuffle button on my mp3 player the first time through. Some music's purpose is to entertain; some music acts as a time machine, whisking listeners into the past (or future); and other music serves to transport listeners into another world entirely. Jogger's musical aim (as referenced by "Nephicide") is to combine all three of the aforementioned styles into an amalgam that is wholly unique and entirely worthy of your listening time.

Check out the video for "Nephicide" below, and you'll see what we mean.
