Running like an egg yolk, dripping like the clap and flying like a saucer - Blaqstarr releases his latest EP that will surely put you in the place we all strive for. I had never heard of Blaqstarr until this review, but I wish I had because this EP just so happens to be the gravy over my biscuits. It's called BLAQSTARR THE MIXTAPE and it's completely free.

Blaqstarr has come a long way. Producing songs since the age of 16 growing up in Baltimore, his beats caught the attention of M.I.A. who brought him on for their hit single "Paper Planes." Once the world heard how sick this young DJ actually was, electronic artist Diplo brought him aboard the Mad Decent Family, which allowed him to show his style off throughout the world, introducing worldwide DJs of this up and coming star.

For his EP BLAQSTARR THE MIXTAPE, I highlight the song "War of Roses" as it starts off with a Girl Talk sound, leading into an awesome lyrical and musical mashup, featuring Talib Kweli.

Make sure to check out the entire album, available for a free download at his official website.
