Their name seems to suggest a metal rock sound, but Archnemesis describe their music as "Intelligent Electro-Crunk". Read more about this group after the jump!

Archnemesis, consisting of members Curt Heiny and Justin Aubuchon (of Telepath and MO Theory, respectively), have just released their debut EP for free on their web page, www.archnemesismusic.com. Archnemesis toes the lines between dubstep, IDM, and hip-hop, and perhaps it’s that genre-wrecking abandon that landed them a spot opening for the reigning prince of Canadian house music, Deadmau5 at the Congress Theatre in Chicago.

"Diamonds and Glass" is a glitchy 30-minute journey through the groovy side of the psyche, with the samples running the gamut from 20's jazz to 00's hip-hop ,but although the "intelligent" and "electro" sides of their music are obvious, the "crunk" is less so. This is music for white nerds to dance to, and will probably never find itself on pop radio. This is probably what Archnemesis is going for, though. You can download "Diamonds and Glass" at their website.
