After waiting as patiently as we could through one of the most clever and innovative publicity techniques of all time, Arcade Fire has finally announced the release date of their third LP,The Suburbs, and equally as important, the upcoming track list.

The band’s third LP is out August 2 in the UK/Europe and August 3 in the U.S. courtesy of Merge, and while four songs have been released into the internet, twelve songs remain a mystery yet. Listen to “Month of May” and “The Suburbs” here and download “We Used to Wait” and “Ready to Start” below. Oh, and in case you didn’t do the math, four songs that we already have plus twelve songs that we don't have equals sixteen songs total. Get excited.
