Roots Manuva has made quite a career for himself. The London based hip-hop artist has been consistently brilliant since his debut album—Brand New Second Hand—was released back in 1999. Over the decade since, Roots has managed give the British hip-hop scene a backbone and pin down a style which is devoid of the childish novelty qualities which shine from the gold teeth and sovereign rings worn by the habitual denizens of the UK's top ten singles chart. Roots Manuva has substance, and we are getting his new LP this September. Oh Happy Days.

The upcoming LP is to be titled Duppy Writer, and will be available on September 6th. Down below, however, you can grab a free download of "Butterfly Crab Walk", featuring Riddla. The track is just a taste of what's to come and is not considered the premiere single from the album. "Jah Warriors" will be the first official single and will be available August 30th.
