There are still droplets of festival magic remaining to saturate the entire UK this year. For example, Reading and Leeds for example haven't even kicked off yet, but already the buzz surrounding the famous festival seems to be at the tipping point of brilliance. Out of all the jolly smiles, one seems to be standing out the most at the moment; that being the cheshire cat grin on Michael Eavis' face, which is getting larger with every press conference. It has been confirmed by Eavis himself that two headlining slots for Glastonbury 2011 have been filled. Boy, he doesn't waste time!
The unfortunate news is that he won't tell who is performing in the headlining slots! It's to be expected, though, especially being this soon after confirmation, and the fact that it's still 2010. But still, it would have been nice, Mr. Eavis. The festival organizer/world's coolest farmer has said he is "absolutely thrilled" at the news, but we think there is absolutely no telling who the huge acts could be. Of course, there are three headline slots at the Glasto shindig, and Eavis has mentioned that for the Friday, U2 have been asked to play. The Irish stars had to pull out of an opening performance for this year's event because of Bono's back injury, however the group have not confirmed or denied whether they have accepted the second invitation. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more news on who the acts are, and whether or not U2 will indeed complete the line-up in the number three slot.
