Zoinkies this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival looks good! They’re back at Chicago’s Union Park this summer on July 13 – 15 for the seventh straight year.

The Pitchfork Music Festival is known for combining art, crafts, and specialty vendors with great musical acts that include up and comers along with internationally renowned headliners. 2012 is going to blow the doors off of the summer festival scene with top notch talent from across the musical spectrum, such as Vampire Weekend, Feist, Hot Chip, Grimes, Cloud Nothings, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, AraabMUZIK, A$AP Rocky, The Field, Liturgy, Kendrick Lamar, Tim Hecker, and there are still 30+ more acts to be announced by the Forksters.

On a very bright note . . . the prices for Pitchfork are not going up this year. You heard it right, they’ve maintained the pricing in an effort to create an outstanding atmosphere that focuses on the music at an affordable price. Of course, it won’t just be about the music.

In addition to the musical offerings, the Pitchfork Music Festival also features a wide array of other activities for its 50,000 attendees of all ages from 45 states and 26 countries to easily enjoy. With 50 individual vendors, as well as specialty fairs, the fest not only supports local businesses and economy, but also promotes the Chicago arts community as a whole.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 9 at 12 PM CST. One day tix are $45, and there are also a limited number of three-day passes for $110. Check out the festival’s website to grab your tix, and for more deets, and emerging lineup info.
