What’s in this mix of new blue eyed soul? Stir up some Fitz & The Tantrums, toss in a heaping tablespoon of Alabama Shakes, and add a dash of Mayer Hawthorne. It’s a new school crashes into old school blues/soul sound that will delight, and charm the yoga pants right off your butt.

This band first hit their airwaves in their home-world of Seattle in 2011, so the polished sound you hear now is not the product of a decade of playing together; these guys are just that good! Their first release, “Myths” was a 7 inch collection of some of the demos the band had put together in their basement. In 2012, Pickwick began recording their full length debut disc, “Can’t Talk Medicine,” in their living room. The band is lucky to have Grammy winner (Best Engineered Album, Classical), and vu.recordings owner, Kory Kruckenberg, as their vibraphone player, and recording God on this album.

Pickwick recently released a digital EP, “Covers,” and their full length debut disc, “Can’t Talk Medicine,” comes out on March 13th, and will feature a collaboration with Sharon Van Etten on their lead single “Lady Luck.”
