It doesn’t look like Arcade Fire hype will be slowing down anytime soon. They’re going to keep it coming, cleverly we might add, up until the very release date of their forthcoming album, The Suburbs, which is due out in less than a month, on August 2. Want to know how? Get all the details after the jump!

We already told you the album is set to be released with eight different covers. Recent news suggests, however, that unless you pick it up in a physical store, you'll be getting one chosen at random. So if you want to make your own selection, you’re going to have to actually get off your computer, get in your car and head for the closest store. We promise, it will all be worth it in the end.

If all their witty promotional techniques don't have you excited for August 2, maybe their recent charity will. On July 12, at their first show back home in Quebec City in a few years (also, the 6-month mark of the earthquake that shattered Haiti), lead singer Régine Chassagne announced the formation of a nonprofit organization, Kanpe. The goal of Kanpe is to channel Canadian aid to Haiti’s rural poor, including and most especially sending aid families displaced by the earthquake.

Lead male vocalist, Win Butler, whose wife and bandmate Chassagne is of Haitian heritage, said the band will match fan donations of CAN $5, up to CAN $1 million, to Kanpe. Fans who wish to donate CAN $5 can do so easily, by texting STAND to 30333. During the band’s set, Butler urged fans to donate to the newly-formed charity saying, "Please take our money from us!"
