Are we "Ready For Kanye" in 2020?

Following Kanye's announcement during his VMA Vanguard Award acceptance speech that he would be running for president in 2020, a political action committee has filed for registration with the Federal Election Commission called, "Ready For Kanye."

The registration was submitted by Eugene Craig, a 24 year old from Baltimore. Craig explained his support for Kanye in an interview with Rolling Stone saying, "We have a gentleman in Mr. West who 1) stands for small business and entrepreneurship, has spoke out against corporatism; 2) is a school choicer, and has spoken about the racial disparities in regards to public school systems; and 3) has openly spoken out against the war on drugs and the pipeline that the war on drugs provides to the private prison systems."

He also applauded Kanye's foreign policy, taking delight in the fact that Kanye is, "...not for occupying every country in the Middle East."

Since Kanye has not formally aligned himself with a political party, the White House Press Secretary has expressed curiosity over what slogan Kanye "chooses to embroider on his hat."

"Ready For Kanye" hopes that he will run as a Republican.

While Kanye has not affirmed his decision to run, the PAC is not looking to raise campaign funds as of right now - but rather wants to gather data and reach potential voters, should Yeezy decide to run. Joking or not, it is impressive that there is already a push to put Kanye in office. Can you imagine the tabloid headlines about First Lady Kardashian-West?

Will Kanye drop a mix-tape and sign an executive order in the same week? The entire situation feels like an early draft to an "Idiocracy" prequel. Please, please be joking Kanye. You have enough power over the masses already.
