Aphex Twin To Dump MORE Unearthed Tracks, Fans Voting on Tracks For New Release
Music Player:

More unreleased Aphex Twin material is on the way, all the while fans will rate the tracks for a future release.

In an update to his Aphex Twin Soundcloud bio, Richard D. James wrote today “Im VERY happy to report that ive found loads more old tapes i never encoded or gave to anybody, been looking a lot on / off last few months and found around 7 tapes, most of which have 20+ tracks :))) Will upload/release soonish.”

This comes as great news for Aphex Twin fans who are currently helping RDJ curate a possible future release by voting on their favorites among the last massive release of Aphex Twin tracks from earlier this year. The site, created by WATMM forum users xf and Redditors, allows fans to create a Top 30 playlist as well as vote on their most loved, and least liked, tracks. While fans may not have the final say in which tracks make the cut, the site is giving RDJ a "good basis for compiling something."

There is a heap of Aphex Twin content to sort through. There are a ton of short, fun ambient tracks, a handful of long, experimental songs, and a good variety of the particular brand of instrumental electronic music Aphex Twin is known for. It is a bit daunting to try and pick a favorite but fans have been eager to sift through the material and help with the new release.

In the meantime, check out "Serge Fenix Rendered 2," the first track released off of Orphaned Deejay Selek 2006-2008, RDJ's first release as AFX since 2005 (out August 21).
