Foo Fighters

The year was 2008. Obama was campaigning, the Phillies were winning the World Series, and you couldn't click on any unknown links for fear of being caught be a certain '80s pop video.

Last Friday, a Foo Fighters show in Missouri was being picketed by the Westboro Baptist Church. It's not the first time the two groups have tangled, but this time Grohl and company took things to a new level. Cramming the whole band and some hangers on into the back of a pickup truck, and outfitting drummer Taylor Hawkins with a sign reading "You got Rick Roll'd," the band cruised by the protesters, with "Never Gonna Give You Up" at full volume. The truck came to a rest in front of where the church had camped out, prompting the start of a dance party of screaming fans. One person caught the whole affair on camera, and threw it up on YouTube - check it out below.
