Deerhunter frontman Bradford Cox is back in business following a tragic accident last year, which apparently hasn't hampered his ability to rock some denim overalls.

We're not gonna say we told you so, but the countdown we talked about last week is finished and with it comes news of a new album from Deerhunter. It's called Fading Frontier and it is slated to be released on October 16th. iTunes pre-orders are available, and with them comes the tracklist, which we'll include below. The record is Deerhunter's first effort since their front man was hospitalized after a car accident last year, but it looks like he's recovered well.

The announcement also featured a new video for the track "Snakeskin", the first single from Fading Frontier. It sounds a little like the group doing their best Modest Mouse impression, but Cox's drawling delivery makes the track a little more fun than Isaac Brock's snarling vocals would. The video also explains the weirdness that was that .gif file on the website, as it makes liberal use of projection onto Cox's face, and also features him in a phenomenal overalls-and-cowboy-hat look. Check it out, along with the track list for Fading Frontier below, and watch for our upcoming review of the record.
