In a bid to convince the Foo Fighters to play in Italy (and maybe just do something awesome), a team of Italian organizers held an event where a thousand instrumentalists performed the Foos' "Learn To Fly" in Cesena, Italy.

Conceptualized in May 2014, the event's website details some of the trials they faced on the road to making this happen, including such trivialities as "how do we get power to 1000 musicians in the middle of a field?" and "how do we keep 250 drummers in time?" Fortunately, the video of the group's performance speaks for itself - the sound is on point and the massed vocals sound incredible. Major credit goes to conductor Marco Sabiu for keeping the group on track, as well as Anita Rivaroli and Alberto Viavattene for directing the video. Stream it below - there's already been a positive response from the Foos.

Translated: See you soon, Cesena.
