It was only a matter of time before Thom Yorke and his awkwardly dramatic personality found the world of theatre.

Radiohead frontman and sonic eccentric Thom Yorke is bringing his music to the Broadway stage, providing original material for the Roundabout Theater Company production Old Times, directed by Douglas Hodge.

"It’s been a pleasure working with Doug on my first stage production," Yorke commented. "I’ve enjoyed exploring through music the script’s themes of love and memory as well as Pinter’s rhythms, twists and turns."

Hodge said of Yorke's work on the production: "The music Thom has written for Old Times gives an immediacy and a ‘now‐ness’ to the show. The play itself is about memory and love—Thom’s music works backwards and forwards and plays with time and repetition in the same way Pinter does. In true Thom Yorke‐style, the music is epic, heartbreaking, irresistible and complex. I’m hopeful this collaboration will result in a new kind of theatergoer coming to our show."

The play, described as an "unsettling drama of desire and blurred realities," will begin previews on September 17 and will run from October 6 to November 29 at the American Airlines Theater in NYC.
