Jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman was reportedly found dead this morning in Manhattan after going into cardiac arrest.
From Fort Worth, TX, Coleman started playing saxophone as a teenager, eventually joining Pee Wee Crayton's band and moving to LA where he developed his signature "free jazz" style. Though some found his music too unstructured, his innovative exploration into new territories of music garnered him the status of legend in the Jazz community.
