A newly formed producer duo on the Jamaican-based label Film Noir, the combined sounds of Masego and Medasin is truly ear-candy. Blending trap, house, trip-hop, EDM, jazz fusion, and future bounce, the duo has managed to create a unique style that they like to call "TrapHouseJazz."

Masego, a Virginia-based producer/singer/saxophonist, started out under the moniker in 2012. His influences include Ryan Leslie, Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Jamie Fox, Eminem, and Kanye West, all of which can be felt in his soulful, jazzy beats, R&B vocals, and smooth saxophone. Masego linked up with Medasin, a producer from Dallas, and the duo was born.

Their label Film Noir was founded by beat-makers BNJMN, Krs. and oshi, who had been individually standing out on SoundCloud with their collaborations and remixes when they formed the label in March 2015. The label's very first release will be Masego and Medasin's debut work The Pink Polo EP. The two have already released the first track off the EP, a funky, melodically contagious bit titled "Girls That Dance." The new track has been released under the Creative Commons License, and can be downloaded free of charge above.

Stay tuned for the EP release date and check out more from Masego and Medasin on their respective SoundClouds.
