Minneapolis electro-pop producer Gigamesh released "Don't Stop (Version 2)" earlier in January. The reworked track, featuring Saint Paul Jazz vocalist Jana Nyberg, explores a dreamy, nigh Bee Gees-esque feel, merging simple melodic devices, catchy instrumentals, popping flare, crisp production, and scintillating energy.

"Don't Stop" works best simply as a fun song. It isn't deep or sombre, and though the production is great and it is a well written track, there's nothing too too complex or sophisticated about the piece. Musically, the track is pretty straightforward, but what it lacks in complexity is more than makes up for in energy. The energy is kicked off with a tense build-up in the intro, and then remains high-wired throughout through bright vocals, buoyant synth elements, and an understated beat.

This latest reworking of the great Gigamesh track is surely worth a listen.
