Future Twin - Lockits

A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Future Twin, the latest in forefronting trends in the San Francisco music scene with a Doors-meet-Sonic-Youth-meets-the Ting-Tings sound. If you haven't checked them out yet, here's a good reason to.

The Lockits was the name of the all-girl moped gang that brought about the beginning of Future Twin (hints the sound of mopeds at the beginning of the song) so it's only natural that it brings that classic '60s-rock-mixed-with-'80s-punk sound that we at Inyourspeakers love. It also conjures up a certain beach thrash feeling Future Twin produces so well. Rapid-firing drums, fast guitar riffs, and a semi-heavy yet quick bass expertly bring this song to life and fill it with an original and fiery spirit. Add in a slight undertone of synthesizers and the end result is a very pleasing jumble of sounds that make you want to get up and go join a moped gang yourself.

"Lockits" is the sixth track off of the new album Future Twin Deluxe Edition and is available on 7" Resist limited edition vinyl.
