Barons in the Attic, Turn it Off & Take Out the Battery

This video could have been so much more fabulous with a slightly larger budget. But let’s not hold that against these Albany rockers. Baron’s in the Attic’s new song, “Julia,” is high energy, melodic, and reminiscent of high school in the best way possible.

The recently released “Julia” video is like a four dudes version of Sia’s impeccable “Buttons” video (if you’re not familiar, we highly recommend it). The Barons themselves take turns being manipulated (mutilated?) while lip-synching the infectious tune. One even gets all his hair chopped off. So dedicated! What makes this low/no budget video really enjoyable is that it looks like a bunch of friends had a great time making it. Plus, you really want to know how disheveled they’ll all look at the end.

Although it may be lacking in production quality, check out “Julia” if you feel like smiling and cringing at the same time. Barons in the Attic have some other great tracks off their latest album, Turn It Off & Take Out The Battery, available for download on Bandcamp.
