Teen Daze's C.S. Lewis-Inspired "The Harvest"

Our Rating:

6/10

Extraterrestrial songs are becoming more common these days: first Oh No! Yoko’s “Go Alien” and now Teen Daze’s “The Harvest” from the upcoming EP, A Silent Planet, inspired by C.S. Lewis’ Out of the Silent Planet. This is the second single from the EP out Sept. 13, pushed back from its original Aug. release date.

“The Harvest” has some subtle electronic elements to it and a little bit of single-note guitar. Creator Jamison’s carries the song with his steady vocals—with reverb, of course, typical of dream pop and even indie lately—showing his range with some sweet crooning. With its slow, mellow tempo and lack of percussion, “The Harvest” is a very peaceful and relaxing song that comes off sounding simple and pretty, with a light, airy quality.

You can find “The Harvest” below, and pre-orders for A Silent Planet are being taken now on either CD or the rare cassette medium. Pre-orders will receive a special surprise!
