After last summer’s “Barbra Streisand,” duo Duck Sauce is back with “Big Bad Wolf,” perfectly suited for future Halloween dance parties.

“Big Bad Wolf” is a fun song—although not as fun as and way darker than "Barbra Streisand"—but not remarkable. It starts with the typical thumping dance beat, followed by a catchy synth rift that adds flair and helps to make the song quite a dance tune. The deep, distorted vocals add to the rhythm, but they manage to take away from the song as a whole by being too repetitive—the only lyrics are “the big bad wolf” interspersed with howling, which is admittedly wonderfully cut and looped to match the established rhythm. Still, even the music itself is overly repetitive to the point of making the song a bit boring in parts. Things do get more interesting with echoes, an increasingly eerie vibe and a pseudo-ending, but they’re not enough to fully take away from the monotony.

But at least “Big Bad Wolf” is creative. Really, not too many songs about wolves exist. Download it for free below.
