Portland natives and veteran indie-rockers Quasi have been putting out records since 1993, so it's probably forgivable they haven't released an album since 2006's When The Going Gets Dark. After four years of a relatively tour-only existence, the trio are looking to add another decade to their belt with a new album in the works for 2010 as well as a slew of live dates culminating in a set at the upcoming Sasquatch Music Festival in May. The band is preceding their plans for the year with a fresh new song, compliments of the house. Check the dates and grab the track, after the jump.

The track, called "Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler," is a a downbeat piano ballad with crispy drums and a French/English/French lyrical structure. The track tiptoes lightly around a lot of cliches, but manages to live a life of its own in spite of them. It's worth a listen, free or not. Check Quasi out at Sasquatch this May, and be sure to pick up Quasi's latest, American Gong, when it drops on February 23.
