Consistent with its focus to endorse loud, upbeat and strenuous bands such as Escape the Fate, Set Your Goals, and Thursday, Epitaph’s new Hurley Sampler renders listeners with more of what they love to hear.

The compilation of singles by various bands on the label is an overall aggressive and triumphant experience. But if you’re not interested in only hearing full throttle growling vocals, just you wait. The new release has great symmetry with post emo (Vanna and Say it Loud), punk (Rancid and Bad Religion), and a little pinch of folk thanks to Frank Turner’s ‘Photosynthesis’. Yet there is a foundation of hardcore to keep the pace up. With a nice blend of genres, the selected tracks with help grieve a broken heart, but will probably encourage you to start a mosh pit. Listeners will enjoy the 22 Song Sampler, and what better way to get you pumped for Warped Tour coming to your town than that?
