As the release date for Brooklyn based heart pounders, The National's, third album creeps closer, so do our nails to the base of our fingers. On May 10th, 4AD will be pushing High Violet, the band's follow up to the rapturously received Boxer, into our open arms. Read on after the jump for the full track list and a peak at the artwork.

The album has been recorded in the band's own studio in Brooklyn with long-standing producer Peter Katis' fingertips mastering the faders once again. Katis has been working with a number of bands as of late, especially groups featuring on the FatCat roster such as Frightened Rabbit and The Twilight Sad. Oh and he also handled production on Turn On The Bright Lights by Interpol, which pretty much earned him engineering royalty status.
