Super-smooth indie-rockers My Morning Jacket will be taking to the road late this April with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band for an East coast tour that will begin in Birmingham, Alabama and see the group performing at Jazzfest in New Orleans and the near-mythical Merriweather Post Pavillion before wrapping things up in Columbus, Ohio.

The Preservation Hall Jazz Band appeared with My Morning Jacket alongside an all-star cast of players -Tom Waits, Merle Haggard, Andrew Bird included - on the PRESERVATION album, a charity disc that was part of an effort to preserve the French Quarter in post-Katrina New Orleans.
