M. Ward fans have a lot to look forward to in the near future -- In an interview with Paste, Ward confirmed that both a solo album and a follow-up to his collaboration with Zooey Deschanel are in the works.

The upcoming solo album is going by the name Hold Time, and is slated for release sometime in February. Ward explained that he went for a "new balance" on this album. "There's a lot of really big and heavy sounds that [he] attempted to balance with sounds that you can find in any guitar shop."

Ward also confirmed that the sophomore album for She & Him, his joint project with Zooey Deschanel, is on its way. Volume Two has no specific release date, but he claims "it's going to be twice as good as Volume One."

Ward also made reference to the collaborative album between Conor Oberst, My Morning Jacket's Jim James and himself, but was clear that it's not coming any time too soon.
