Jack White's roster of bands he has played in grows larger every day. While still being active in several different acts, it's understandable that he'd want to isolate himself from his band mates and just write music for a solo album. See what he has to say about the solo album he may record later this year after the jump.
Jack comments about his upcoming solo album saying that nothing is set in stone when it comes to the style the album will be recorded. He is considering whether or not he should play all the instruments on the album, adding, "I've never done that [played everything himself]. I thought about that. That might be the challenge - to differentiate from anything else that I've done."
With all his projects ahead of him, he makes sure to let everyone know that he doesn't work well under time frames, leaving release dates impossible to gather until the album is nearly done.
"It would be a mistake for me to premeditate anything, even in the next six months, to say what I'm going to do," he explained. "I honestly could be working on a White Stripes [album] in the next two weeks. I have no idea if that is going to happen. And the same with The Dead Weather. I'd rather live like this without a calendar in front of me."
