It would seem that J Tillman, drummer and backing vocalist for pastoral press-darlings Fleet Foxes, has a more prolific recording career under his own moniker than he does under the banner of his main gig. It would seem that way, because it's true. Read more about his new album and upcoming tour dates after the jump.

Tillman, who released his sixth solo effort, Year In the Kingdom, back in September, is currently on a North American tour in support of the disc. Joining Tillman on his pan-continental journey is Pearly Gate Music, a sunny, reverb-drenched little rock band led by Tillman's brother Zach, and are definitely worth checking out.

Tillman and Pearly Gate Music will be playing The Bell House in Brooklyn tonight before making what seems to be a big horseshoe around the continental United States, concluding their jaunt in Portland, OR on December 12. Check out more tour dates below.
