Wayne Coyne can't seem to sit still these days. After just releasing Embryonic and a reinterpretation of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon with The Flaming Lips last year, word on the street is that he's looking to embark on a new cinematic extravaganza. With Justin Timberlake. Possibly in a slaughterhouse. Read on to get the trippy details.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Wayne Coyne, frontman of the psychedelic rock outfit The Flaming Lips, announced that he wants to start pulling together ideas for a second movie. Taking into account that the first Lips film, Christmas on Mars, took seven years to make and was just released in 2008, one must wonder how Coyne will go about things this time around. He has stated that his friends, family, and Oklahoma City will all be involved, but Coyne wants "to get real actors."

"I'm in the process of begging Justin Timberlake to be part of it; if I'm lucky I'll be able to wear him down in another year," Coyne says, validating our obvious deduction that this movie will not surface anytime soon. It's also important, again, to consider what The Flaming Lips have accomplished recently; two albums last year, and a whole slew of dates scheduled for this year, including a Bonnaroo show that will feature an entire set dedicated to the aforementioned Pink Floyd cover album.

But, have no fear, Coyne is determined to make this movie (whenever it IS actually released) as trippy as possible. "This one is set in someone's house and in a backyard and in a slaughterhouse; all those things are available to me right here, so I don't have to build everything this time", he says, reflecting on the effort he put into the Christmas on Mars set design.

So, a new Flaming Lips movie, possibly in a house/back yard/slaughterhouse in Oklahoma City, with Justin Timberlake. Right. Rest assured, as more details about the movie roll out of the plastic bubble from the Flaming Lips' camp, Inyourspeakers will bring you the full report.
