If you were watching the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta, you might have caught a glimpse of a young Leslie Allison Feist. Of course, you might not have recognized her – she wasn't guesting on Kings of Convenience records and shilling for iPod Nanos quite yet. Rather, Feist was one of thousands of little Canuck schoolchildren running all over a field making a gigantic Olympic ceremonial crop circle. This time, when the Olympics come to The Great White North, Feist will probably stand out a bit more, as she will be giving one of the many free concerts which make up the Vancouver Olympic Celebration.

Feist will be performing February 16th at the Whistler Celebration Plaza, a brand new venue being built at the renowned Whistler/Blackcomb Ski Resort, where many of the Olympic and Paralympic Games will be held. The concert will be free, all-ages, and outdoors, which means bundle up. It goes without saying that “I lost these fingers to frostbite at an outdoor Feist concert, back in 2010,” is not a very cool battle-scar story. Not exactly Jack London material.

The following evening, February 17th, Feist will be playing at The Orpheum in Calgary. This will be the opposite of the previous day's show in two regards, as it will be indoors and you will have fork over some dough. Tickets go on sale today at Tickets.com.
