Up and coming pop singer Ellie Goulding, who is featured in this month's "Radar" issue of NME, a showcase of promising acts to pay attention to in the year to come, took some time to reveal to the publication a little bit about her upcoming debut album, entitled Lights.
Released March 1, Lights is largely a collection of songs written over a two year period that "vent romantic victories and failures," though other subjects are explored such as unease about moving from the country to the city as on "Wish I Stayed." Although mostly catchy pop tunes, most songs off Light apparently were written solo by Goulding on acoustic guitar. will be preceded by a single, "Starry Eyed, which will be released February 22.
